Even in business, someone who has made their mark and built themselves up to be a leading figure can have many lessons to teach those just starting out. One standout figure is Gary “Vee” Vaynerchuk, who managed to grow his family’s wine business from $3 million to $60 million in five years, built a digital agency with several Fortune 500 clients, and has millions of social media followers. He also has recently released a bestselling book about his winning business ventures. Gary Vaynerchuk certainly has many lessons he can teach to entrepreneurs and other business people. A few of them include:

1. Self-Awareness Sells

If you know yourself, you’ll be able to communicate clearly what your vision is and also be able to gain insight into the inner workings of other people. We need to be good people who market or sell a quality product or service that does good in the world. We need to stay true to ourselves and not worry so much about where the money is.

4. Don’t Wait

The market is always changing and could change at any minute, so if you’re thinking of starting a business or kick-starting a new product idea, don’t wait. Start now.

5. Share Ideas

Don’t be afraid to share ideas. You may have an idea that could be forward-thinking and change the industry, but if you don’t share it, it won’t happen. As Vaynerchuk says, “Ideas are shit, execution is the game.”

6. Influence Is King

Having attention is important, but more than that is the influence you have over your followers and their actions. Vaynerchuk has millions of social media followers, and he can get the attention of most of them, and many of them may do what he asks because of his influence.

7. Negativity = Fail

Negativity and drama are two things we don’t need in our lives. Being overly negative and pessimistic will lead to failure. “When you complain, nobody wants to help you.” Also, people tend to shop on emotion, and negative emotions will not sell. So surround yourself with positivity and optimism to grow success.
